Olive Integration
EMCCO aims to achieve full Integration in the Olive Industry and has specified the integration of the Olive Industry into five major projects.

Project 1: Olive Oil Plant
Our Burg El-Arab plant (40 km from Alexandria, a major export port) has been set up and fully equipped with the prestigious Alfa Laval Machineries (The production line) enabling us to produce more than 1000 tons of olive oil per season.

Project 2: Table Olives & Pickled Vegtables
Our Saddat plant (90 km from Cairo) is going to be specialized in the processing of natural black table olives along with other pickled vegetables. EMCCO has undergone much research in the past years to be fully aware of the scope of the Naturally processed Black Table Olives and has run numerous production trials for the local market over the past year. The expected capacity for this project will be 2500 tons of Naturalley Processed Table Olives per season.

Project 3: Farm Orchard
Realizing the importance of the availability of essential raw material, i.e. the olives. EMCCO is planning to grow its own Olive Orchard. It is anticipated that the orchard would be 1000 - 2000 acres in the Natroun Valley (Wadi Al-Natroun). Yet this project is still under comprehensive planing and study.

Project 4: Use of Production Leftovers
As natural bi-products from the process of pressing the olives or processing natural table olives, EMCCO wishes to utilize such materials. Such as husk in other industries, EMCCO is planning to have this project in a plant adjacent to project 2 plant.

Project 5: Hi-tech
Future plans include the use of hi-tech in the Olive Industries that support the pharmaceutical industry, e.g. Extraction of different useful Fatty Acids.
